Elon Musk and fighting symptoms

Elon Musk said recently, via a tweet earlier this month (January 2021), that he will donate $100 million toward a prize for the best carbon capture technology. The broad definition of carbon capture and storage is as the name implies. Waste carbon dioxide emitted at a refinery or factory is captured at the source and then stored, in an aim to remove the potential harmful byproduct from the environment and mitigate climate change.

Carbon capture might have a positive impact in terms of reducing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. However, it’s just fighting symptoms, keeping the current degenerative systems up and running, and not addressing the root causes of our deeply interconnected global problems.

Through transforming the system we can eliminate these global problems at their root, and the many symptoms to which they give rise. We’ll first share with you what we have solutions for! There are actual solutions for the recurrent symptoms that we keep on fighting, over and over again, without ever seeming to get any closer to a cure.

We have solutions for:

  • corruption
  • scarcity
  • short-sighted political policy
  • poverty (also spiritual)
  • social flattening and collapse
  • homelessness
  • war
  • famine
  • pollution
  • abuse of power
  • elitism
  • epidemic diseases
  • violations of human rights
  • inequality and crime
  • unemployment
  • self-serving schemes for obtaining personal profit
  • indifference

This is what we do not want anymore! So what do we really want?

What we want is a world:

  • where every person has the same rights
  • where policy makers have a long-term vision
  • where peace prevails
  • where there are no weapons
  • where power no longer applies
  • where diseases are adequately treated
  • where a maintenance task of 20 h / pw is sufficient
  • where there is free public transport
  • where there is enough food and drinking water for everyone
  • where everyone has a house
  • where passion reigns for people, animals and nature
  • where there is clean air
  • where people are equal
  • where crime no longer occurs
  • where involvement and sharing are at the forefront
  • where LOVE, in addition to all present religions, is an overarching interfaith
  • where solidarity prevails and messages of hatred no longer gain traction
  • where self-development and personal growth is valued and nurtured
  • where money is no longer needed to survive and flourish

Since we are focusing on regenerative solutions for all these challenges, we’ve developed Transition Tactics to overcome and/or bridge them during the new paradigm shift we are currently in. See link > https://bit.ly/Transition-Tactics

Sure, there are still many questions to answer. However, let’s have the open-mindedness to find the answers to these questions in the solutions of today and tomorrow. So if you really want to change the world Elon, let’s spend 100 million on that :-).

Elon Musk said recently via a tweet that he will donate $100 million toward a prize for the best carbon capture technology. Musk, who recently surpassed Amazon’s Jeff Bezos to become the world’s richest person, didn’t provide any more details except to add in an accompanying tweet the “details will come next week.”

The broad definition of carbon capture and storage is as the name implies. Waste carbon dioxide emitted at a refinery or factory is captured at the source and then stored in an aim to remove the potential harmful byproduct from the environment and mitigate climate change. It’s not a new pursuit and numerous companies have popped up over the past two decades with varying means of achieving the same end goal. The high upfront cost to carbon capture and storage or sequestration (CCS) has been a primary hurdle for the technology.
